For those of you eager to get some money in your pockets, we have outlined several places that can help you make the money to buy all the goodies your parents won't buy.
Jobtrack
This site helps high school and college grads get hooked up with jobs. Post your resume and have employers contact you begging to work for them! For those of you that have not yet created a resume, do not dismay. Here you will find hints on how to write a resume. There are also tips on how NOT to write a resume.
Federal Job
Summer job opportunities are available in Federal agencies throughout the United States and cover a wide variety of positions. These positions begin approximately mid-May and end September 30th. Applications are typically accepted from December through April 15th. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and qualify for a position based on work experience and/or education.
Online Search
Peterson's Guide has the Summer Opportunities on line. This site includes a search to help students easily identify programs available that meet particular interests.
California Alliance for Minority Participation
The objective of the California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP) is to increase the quality and quantity of minority students receiving baccalaureate degrees in science, engineering and mathematics (SEM) at the University of California (UC).
Summer Bridge
Summer Bridge provides incoming freshmen with a "jump-start" into their first-year math and science classes. The program is a five-week, in-residence, intensive academic bridge experience, commonly referred to as an "academic boot camp" that places participating freshmen at an advantage to other freshmen due to the academic and social familiarity gained through the Bridge program experience.
